Thank you for your interest in becoming a Limestone County Master Gardener.

A thirteen week training course is required to become a Master Gardener. For general information regarding the upcoming class click here. The course is offered through the Tri-County (Limestone, Madison, Morgan) Extension Program. Students may choose to participate in the spring or fall training.  The spring class meets during the morning hours and the fall class in the evening.  The cost of the course is $150 and includes an 18 chapter volunteer training handbook.  The next course is January 30 – April 30, 2020. The class meets 9 am to 1:30 pm with potluck lunch each week.

Pre-registration deadline is January 23rd.

The application and fee should be mailed to Rhonda Britton, Madison County Extension Office, 819 Cook Avenue, Huntsville, AL 35801. A background check is required.  Once approved, registration is official and the registrant will be notified.

After completing the course, each student is required to complete a 50-hour volunteer internship.  Upon completion of the volunteer hours, individuals are recognized as a certified Alabama Master Gardeners during a graduation ceremony.
